A swipe-style social media platform for text
It's time to focus and think.
Today, social media is mostly about short-form videos. Yes, those swipe-style videos on platforms like YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. While I love watching those videos, I wish a similar thing existed purely for text content.
Why?
First, I’m an avid reader. Second, I’m sure there’re millions out there who love reading. Third, I think the world needs to read more.
Compared with other media forms, reading requires effort. And this effort helps improve focus, memory and critical thinking. I think these abilities are missing in today’s generation. We need to act. The best way is to spread awareness about the benefits of reading.
So how is this platform is gonna work? Simple, just like any other swipe-style social platform where creators upload content and viewers react to it. The platform will allow only text content. No music or sound. Viewers can read and then swipe up to see the next text content. If they like something, they can like it, so the algorithm knows what to show next.
If implemented properly, this will be a soothing experience for readers and knowledge-seekers. Perfect for lessons, quotes, opinions, news, etc.
